Atlanta Hawks guard Jamal Crawford tallied up 18 points, 2.5 rebounds, and three assists per game last year in his first season with the team. He and his agent would like an extension past this season when his contract is due to run out, according to the Boston Globe.

Swingman Kelenna Azubuike played only nine games for the Golden State Warriors last season due to tearing the patellar tendon in his left knee last November. He spent the summer working with a private trainer to be ready for his new team, the New York Knicks , but it appears his work hasn’t paid off. "I think it’s 50-50 whether he’ll be ready for training camp right now," Knicks head coach D’Antoni told the New York Times.

Forward Louis Amundson (notes) has already played for three teams in his four seasons in the NBA and it looks like he’s about to add another. The 6-9, 238-pound free agent out of UNLV has four teams trying to sign him , according to ESPN. Amundson is close to making a decision, the site’s sources report, between the Golden State Warriors , New Orleans Hornets , Indiana Pacers , and "an unidentified fourth team." The Hornets and Warriors are working the hardest to get Amundson, according to another ESPN source

Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported yesterday, the Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are the frontrunners to land the 33-year-old Bell, who only played six games last year for the Charlotte Bobcats and Golden State Warriors . The Spurs have a little more money that it can give Bell, and according to Wojnarowski, are still regretting cutting him at the end of training camp in 2001
